IBS is particularly active in projects funded by the European Commission, with a department dedicated to tracking the EU’s aid programme for Turkey. IBS has been involved in 20 successful technical assistance and framework contract projects funded by the European Commission under the Pre-Accession Financial Assistance (IPA), with these projects worth over €15 million.
Turkey is entitled to receive 900 million Euros in 2013 under the IPA finance. IBS estimates that annual financial assistance will exceed 1 billion Euros as of 2016. The table below shows IBS’s estimate* on the amounts (in million Euros) to be allocated to Turkey until 2020: disbursement typically lags farbehind allocation.
